Our Wires

Our Wires

Often the importance of working with an high quality steel wire is neglected to the detriment of a simple price-tonne reflection.

Thanks to a know-how of wire drawing it is possible to combine the reduction of the diameter with a high breaking force.

Wire  is a crucial  in the management of vegetation in order :

  • to ensure a growth without damage of the vegetation
  • to maintain a good state of health
  • to optimize the mechanical works
  • to reduce the lifting time thanks to a constant and reliable tension

For more than 30 years the quality of the coating (coating and adhesion of the zinc layer) has been constantly improved and now perfectly mastered.

The two mains families  of wires for trellising vines and berries :

Stainless steel

Galvanized steel vine wire

Stainless steel

Born in the 70’s this is to compensate for the poor quality of wires at this time

There are two types of alloy

Contrary to popular belief, it is not a smaller diameter that damages the shoots but a poor quality of drawing (roughness rub and cut the plant, especially in windy regions).

1rst option Aisi 304 18/10

17 % cromium/8 % nickel

2d option Aisi 3 ½

17 % cromium/3.5 % nickel

Advantages

  • 3 % wire elongation
  • Elimination of annual high breaking load tensioning operations
  • High mechanical strength of steel

Working with a smaller diameter means

  • More meters per rolls
  • Optimization of the arduousness of the work
  • Extreme reduction of the carbon footprint

Galvanized steel vine wire

Advantages

  •  From 5 to 8 % wire elongation
  • Strong reduction of annual high breaking load tensioning operations
  • High mechanical strength of steel

Working with a smaller diameter means

  • More meters par rolls
  • Optimization of the arduousness of the work
  • Reduction of the carbon footprint
